  • The U.S. Army adopted leather belts for non-commissioned officers' uniforms around the time of World War I. Commonly known as "garrison belts"—a name derived from the term for troops stationed at a military post—they became widely known by this designation.
  • The vegetable-tanned cowhide used here is thick and firm, characterized by its structural integrity, resilience, and a tight, refined grain.
  • The stamp on the reverse side replicates the original wording and typeface, signifying that the carefully selected cowhide has been processed to achieve a uniformly smooth surface.
  • A decorative crease line is applied along the edges; created by pressing a heated tool against the leather's edge, this process compresses and tightens the fibers, thereby enhancing durability.
  • The buckle was made using a mold from the original buckle. The buckle is fastened with a ball-stud type snap button, the same type used on the A-2 jacket.
  • Made in Japan
